The Chorus of this one was an improv-singing song. It's about being flexible in my interactions with other people. It definitely has a dramatic, musical theater vibe! I at first felt like I put a bit too much reverb on this song, but I like how it sounds like I'm singing on a stage in a large theater.

I wanted to, in this album, embrace the effort sounds of singing that I always loved in others' songs. Parts that I would play over and over would be the times I could hear their voice crack, was a bit more breathy, or some other "imperfection". It just brings so much personality to the song!

I was at first again disgusted by the I - IV - V - I chord progression, but just like with the previous track, I wanted to focus on having FUN. I do like the other parts with the descending bass line, but honestly the most memorable parts are the ones that are the most SIMPLE!

In this song I threw in that pasta analogy quite a few times, particularly with the lines "when I'm undercooked and stiff as hell", "stayin' in the water a little bit more, cookin' myself just past al dente."

I rhyme "think" with "think" with "think" haha my brother noticed that one! I love this section though, cause it's a blatant reminder, telling myself, "Come on, time to level up, do something differently!" And it's kinda like a third verse before the second bridge. Then harmonies are added in for the first time!

Another fun thing about this song that I added unconsciously that fits so perfectly with the "woogly" theme is the tempo slow-down during the bridge sections. I'm not sure why or how I decided to use the word "woogly" versus "wiggly", but it just stuck and is here to stay!!

Sometimes people say things to me

Or do some shit I don't understand

I used to try to figure them out

Making meaning when there really... Wasn't any

I'd spiral around, all in my head

Repeating the words that everybody said

But that stops now

I'm trying to tell

When I'm undercooked and

Stiff as hell

I'll be a woogly noodle

Gotta feel into that woogly form

A woogly noodle

Open my mind up to changing the norm

Woogly noodle

That's all I am...

That's all I am

A noodle!

I got this wiggly form today

So I can slip and slither away

Stayin' in the water a little bit more

Cookin' myself just past al dente

You can't hurt me with the things you think

Or things I think... you might think

The things I think you might think

It's time to choose another way to think!

Cause I'm not in your head

And trust me, I don't wanna be

So let's use our words

And try to be kind

Leave expectations and assumptions

Far behind

Let's be woogly noodles

Gotta maintain that woogly form

Woogly noodles

Open your mind up to changing your norm

Woogly noodles

That's what we could be

Together!

We got a big bowl of udon

That's you and me

And anyone who wants to be

A woogly noodle!
