Treats, Trauma, and Trust – Blooming

The EP starts off with a treat! This one is also an improvisation—about 80% improvised. I’d been messing around with this chord progression for many years: I - IV - ii - V7 in F Major (F - C - Gm - C7).

I have a very fond memory, maybe five or six years ago, of my mom and her boyfriend walking over to sit on the couch in our living room, enjoying listening to me playing this piece. She always loved listening to me play the piano.

There’s not a whole lot to say about this piece! I decided to call it “Blooming” because it sounded very flowery and lovely. A rare track where I don’t have an extensive, emotional backstory behind the title ;P
